Jack Daniels Bar-b-que Sauce

Ingredients:
2 tsp vegetable oil
1 cup red onion (finely chopped)2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
1 1/2 tsp. Jack Daniel's whiskey
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tsp soya sauce
1/4 tsp tabasco
1/2 cup beef broth
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup dark brown sugar, packed

Preparation :
- In a saucepan heat the oil and sauté the onion and garlic over low heat until translucent.
- Add the whiskey, vinegar, soya, tabasco, broth and cayenne.
- Stir and boil for about 10-15 minutes until the sauce is concentrated to 1/2 of the original volume.
- Add the sugar and stir to dissolve.
- Reduce heat and simmer until the consistency of the sauce is syrupy. This will take 10-15 minutes.
- Pour the sauce into a metal bowl that's resting on ice and water to cool it down.
- Keep refrigerated.
