Spring Sangria

Ingredients:
4 ounces chenin blanc
1 ounce lemon simple syrup, recipe below
2 ounces fresh orange juice
Ice
Splash of sparkling wine
1 slice fresh orange, for garnish
Fun straw, optional
Simple Syrup:
For the lemon simple syrup:½ cup lemon juice
½ cup water
1 cup sugar

Directions:
In a mixing glass, combine chenin blanc, lemon simple syrup, and orange juice. Stir well. Fill a large glass with ice, then pour the mixture over the ice. Top with a splash of sparkling wine and garnish with a fresh orange slice. Add a fun straw if desired and enjoy!

Lemon simple syrup:
Mix lemon juice, water, and sugar in a medium saucepan over low heat until the sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally. Cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 1 week.
