I joined a blog Figs-N-Things due to my keen interest in growing figs. One of the members I met online has many beautiful gifts and is so eager to share. She lives on the Philippine Island of Cebu. Shortly following their marriage, she and her husband purchased a hector (100 square acres) of land from her new husband's parents. Wilma lives a very tranquil life growing much of her food and meat on their land. She recently posted a video as her rooster could be heard crowing in the background. One of her many talents is photography. I look forward to her daily postings, She makes tea from dried fig leaves. Another post was fig and pistachio ice cream. Her photo is posted with a quote "Grow figs and discover its many uses and benefits from leaves to fruits"."Home made Fig leaf icecream with fresh and dried figs, pistachio nuts, walnuts, and more. I garnish semi-sweet chocolate shavings and nuts on top. Can't wait for tomorrow to try kaya sinubukan na "

The photo of the church Wilma is a member first met under the leaves of Coconut tree to protect the members from the sun. Wilma and her husband donated thirty square meters of land for a church which now sets at the edge of their property. Wilma is a very devout christian as you can see, just a very interesting person I am privileged to call my friend.
