Basic Drop Cookies

Basic Drop Cookies
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup plus 1 Tablespoon sugar
1/3 cup dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups all poirposse flour
2 tablespoons milk
2 cups choc. chips, nuts and or dried fruit

Directions:
Mix together butter, sugar, salt, vanilla, baking soda and baking powder until well combined.  Add the egg and beat mixture until smooth.  Scrape down sides and repeat.  Mix in the flour.  Mix in the milk.  Fold in the mix-ins.

Prepare the dough for freezing.

Baking the cookies:  Preheat the oven to 375*F  Bake for 15 to 16 minutes, until the cookies are light golden brown around the edges.  
Yield 2 dozen cookies.
