Amish Dishpan Cookies

Amish Dishpan Cookies
Ingredients:
1 lb. soft butter or margarine
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
3 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 cups quick oats
1 cup currents
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 cup coconut
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Cream sugar with oleo or butter.  Beat in eggs and vanilla.  Add dry ingredients, then oats, currents, raisins and coconut, and chocolate chips if you are using.
  
Drop by tablespoon full onto prepared baking sheet.  Flatten them with a fork dipped in sugar.

Bake at 375*F,  8 to 10 minutes.
