Caramel Candy

                                  Caramels

This recipe is for a small batch.
Ingredients:
1-1/2 sticks of butter
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 14 0z. can sweetened condensed milk

Directions:
Add all but vanilla to saucepan and boil until a
 thermometer reads 246 or 248F., stirring almost constantly.  (Takes 20-30 minutes).  Remove from heat and add 

1 teaspoon vanilla.  

Mix well.  Immediately pour into parchment paper lined pan.  Let cool.  Cut into squares or roll into log shape.
